"Ink-Stochastic 1" was captured inside of a large format printer's waste ink pan. An ink-jet printer the size of a small bus, it could print very large images, and the jets were purged routinely creating a world of patterns and colors in purged inks.
Presented with high-gloss finish ⅛" rounded corners, black edges and back, Inset 3/4" Black Metal Frame and Wire Hanger.
14" x 20" and larger size metal prints of this image are part of a limited edition series of 50 prints. Since the item will be produced and shipped by my third party partner, limited edition print order customers will also receive a signed, numbered authentication sticker seperately. When the authentication sticker is received, please affix it to the back of the art piece itself.
Many of my image titles include the word, “Stochastic.” I found the word to be fitting to describe many of my images because of the natural randomness in them which also tends to suggest a pattern to the observer.
Below is the beginning of Wikipedia’s article about “Stochastic.”
“Stochastic refers to a randomly determined process. The word first appeared in English to describe a mathematical object called a stochastic process, but now in mathematics the terms stochastic process and random process are considered interchangeable. The word, with its current definition meaning random, came from German, but it originally came from Greek στόχος(stakhos), meaning ‘aim, guess’.
“The term stochastic is used in many different fields, particularly where stochastic or random processes are used to represent systems or phenomena that seem to change in a random way. The term is used in the physical sciences such as biology, chemistry, ecology, neuroscience, and physics as well as technology and engineering fields such as image processing, signal processing, information theory, computer science, (including the field of artificial intelligence), cryptography and telecommunications. It is also used in finance, due to seemingly random changes in financial markets as well as in medicine, linguistics, music, media, colour theory, botany, manufacturing, and geomorphology.
Stochastic social science theory is similar to systems theory.”

A new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, it takes on an almost magical luminescence. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight.
Mounted on 2mm black Styrene and finished with a black Metal Inset Frame. Designed to look great while adding durability to prints that will be handled or transported frequently.
